VEHICLE INSPECTION REPORT
Auto Inspector USA - Professional Vehicle Assessment

This looks to be a good running and driving Porsche Cayman but it has issues of note. There are scratches all around the vehicle. There are dings on the left rocker panel. There are a number of rock chips in the paint - see pictures. The left quarter panel has been spot repaired between the wheel arch and the intake vent. The headlights have rock chips and the right headlight is sun weathered at the bottom. Both door mirrors have rock chips. There are rock chips all over the hood. There are rock chips on the bottom part of both doors. The steering wheel shows signs of wear. The driver seat shows wear. The inner door panels show wear consistent with age and mileage. The interior trim shows normal wear consistent with age and mileage. The center console shows wear.
I found one issue on the test drive. There is a whining noise coming from the drive line that gets louder as the RPMs get higher. When I press the clutch in, no matter what speed, the sound goes away. The engine had plenty of power and there were no misfires or excessive smoking. The transmission shifted as designed with no harsh engagement or slipping. The steering was responsive and the suspension was firm and the vehicle handled well. There were no abnormal vibrations or odd noises. The brakes were firm with no pulsation felt. There were no leaks found to the underside of the vehicle. I hooked up my Scan Tool to the computer system and found no current or pending codes. All of the live data looked good with no issues reported. Overall a decent vehicle. See below and pictures for more info.

Overall Assessment: This 2009 Porsche Cayman S is mechanically sound with good performance characteristics. The main issues are cosmetic, including widespread rock chips, some scratches, and normal interior wear. The whining noise from the driveline should be investigated further as it could indicate bearing or transmission issues.
Recommendations:
- Investigate and repair driveline whining noise
- Consider paint correction for rock chips
- Replace sun-weathered right headlight
- Repair curb rash on driver front wheel
